ADOR Digatron TWU, Tab Welding Unit, is an automatic electrode tab ultrasonic welding machine, designed for the production of lithium cells. It is designed to trim the current collectors of the electrodes, weld them together and connect them to the cell tabs using an ultrasonic welding system.

Tab Welding Unit (TWU)

ADOR Digatron TWU, Tab Welding Unit, is an automatic electrode tab ultrasonic welding machine, designed for the production of lithium cells. It is designed to trim the current collectors of the electrodes, weld them together and connect them to the cell tabs using an ultrasonic welding system. The operator manually loads the machine with a tray containing the cell to be processed. The cell is automatically moved by a robot to the current collector welding station, where the electrodes of the same type are welded together. The current collectors of the cell are then trimmed to the desired length and welded to the tabs. Positive and negative tabs are stored in two magazines and automatically fed to the welding heads by a double pick and place unit.
